In her nearly 20 years of nonprofit experience, Anna has experienced the challenges that come with marshalling the resources needed to foster sustainable growth aligned with programs and services.
Most recently, Anna spent eight years at South Carolina Community Loan Fund, a CDFI that grew from a local housing trust to a statewide lender. Prior to SCCLF, Anna held leadership roles at various nonprofits, including Lowcountry Food Bank, Operation Home, and Humanities Foundation. Anna’s work at these organizations provided a wealth of experience in programming, operations, fundraising and capitalization, and strategic planning.
Anna’s strategic approach to growth paved the way for Operation Home’s doubling of clients served while also increasing grant revenues 25%, helped her supervise

hunger relief programs with contracts and grants exceeding $1MM. As Chief Executive Officer, Anna lead SCCLF to a record-breaking year in 2020, with $2.5MM in grant income and $10.4MM in closed loans.
Her passion for supporting growing mission-driven organizations and their employees led Anna to launch Grounded Strategy in 2021. She works with nonprofits and CDFIs to help align policy with practice and gather the resources they need to succeed.
Anna believes that access to capital, affordable housing, and healthy food are essential in building a more just and equitable world. She feels that to dismantle the systems built to uphold racial inequity, organizations must have a strategy.
Anna is an avid runner and hiker and spends as much time outdoors as possible. In addition to spending time outdoors, Anna enjoys yoga, reading, and baking. She is passionate about live music and college football, particularly the Clemson Tigers.
